THE New OneThing

Well, the Leadership Team of OneThing met last week.

This seasons leadership team, at the moment, consists of Eric (Worship leader), Paul (Team Leader), Sam (Vocalist/intercessor), Elaine (Vocalist/intercessor), and myself.

We agree that God is leading us to change our format. We will still have all the elements of the old format but for now, our main purpose will be to “Meet with and Encounter God in Growing Intimacy and Passion”.
We have changed the name from OneThing Intercessory Worship to
"OneThing Encounter".
We, as the leadership team, seek to fully ENTER into GOD's presence and lead others closer to the Throne Room through freedom of worship and intercession. Simply, our main focus is centered on meeting with God face to face.
We will still have a "corporate" intercession theme for the evening and we will still be using the Harp and Bowl model. Freedom will be given to allow flow between intercession and worship as God calls us to do it each night. WHATEVER HE wants it to look like for that night, we will do.

Another point of focus that we want to stress is the freedom God has given us and how important it is for us to listen to and OBEY His voice. Many people do not do what God asks of them because they fear what man would say/think instead of following what God is telling them. At OneThing, we want to foster an atmosphere that allows freedom and allows God's people to grow in Boldness. That is not saying that we will allow unbiblical Words etc., to be shared corporately but if it is in line with God's word and you feel God wants you to share it, obedience is foremost! It is our desire that ALL would feel bold enough to share scriptures, words, and prayers corporately over the mic during OneThing without fear of man. If you have a word that God is leading you to share for the edification of the whole body, feel free to bring it to ANY of the leadership team and we will be more than happy to get the mic for you  .

Remember, There are NO critics at OneThing, only humble servants seeking the face of the Father and the hand of the Bridegroom…. Won’t you come join us?
 We are still looking for God-Called and committed people who want to join our team as Lead Intercessor, Team Artisan, Worship Art Leader, Worship Dance Leader, Greeters and Tech Leader. We also need Singers, participatory intercessors, and band members. If God is calling you to one of these positions, please come and talk to us.

I can’t wait to see how God is going to use OneThing in the building of His Kingdom and the glorifying of His Name!
